Tadeusz Kopacz, 73, of Ludlow, died Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at the Baystate Medical Center in Springfield. Born in Krosno, Poland on Feb. 26, 1947, he was the son of the late Jozef and Paulina (Kopacz) Kopacz. While living in Poland, he completed his schooling and was an avid mountaineer. He worked as an Oil & Gas Engineer, involved in the process of extracting oil and natural gas from reservoirs. He came to the United States in 1995, looking for a better life for his family. He lived in Indian Orchard for a year before he moved to Ludlow where he lived for the past 24 years. Locally, he worked as a machine operator for Chemigraphic of Ludlow for the past 20 years.
Tadeusz is survived by his wife of 39 years, Zuzanna M. (Bania) Kopacz, three daughters, Katarzyna Kopacz of Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, Edyta Jackowski of Wilbraham, and Magdalena Guberow and her husband Grzegorz of Ludlow, one brother, Andrzej Kopacz of Poland, one sister, Krystyna Zajdel and her husband Jan, and their children Piotr and Pawel of Poland, his sister-in-law, Franciszka Kopacz and her children Agnieszka and Pawel, as well as two grandchildren, Maya and Julia. Tadeusz was the brother of the late Jan Kopacz (husband to Franciszka).
Calling Hours will be held on Friday, Sept. 11 from 8:30am – 10:30am at Nowak Funeral & Cremation Services, 15 Ludlow Ave., Guests must wear masks and stay socially distant and to please exit the funeral home after their brief visit. A Funeral Mass will then be held at Immaculate Conception Church, 25 Parker St., Indian Orchard at 11am. Burial will follow in St. Aloysius Cemetery, Indian Orchard.
