Theresa G. (Swist) Mullin, 89, passed away June 18, 2023 at Life Care Center of Wilbraham surrounded by her loving family. Born in Bondsville, MA on April 6, 1934 to the late John and Julia (Kusza) Swist, she grew up in Bondsville. Theresa was a Springfield resident for many years before moving to East Longmeadow in her retirement. She was a devoted parishioner of St. Catherine of Siena Church in Springfield. A graduate of Palmer High School, she went on to earn her nursing degree from Springfield Hospital School of Nursing. For 35 years, she worked as a registered nurse for Springfield Hospital and Baystate Medical Center and then continued her career as a home health nurse for over 10 years. Theresa was an avid Bingo player, she enjoyed reading and birdwatching, and she was a devoted Red Sox fan. She never missed an opportunity to attend her grandchildren’s sporting events.
She leaves her children and their spouses: Edward Mullin, Jr. and wife Evelyn of Springfield, Daniel Mullin and wife Anne of Hampden, and Joann Supernor and husband Art of Monson; her grandchildren: Drew, Tyler, and Noah Supernor, Conor and Eliza Mullin, Haley and Daniel Mullin, and Jack Mahoney; 2 brothers: John Swist and wife Dottie of Palmer and Dan Swist and wife Bunny of Texas; along with several nieces and nephews, other family members and friends. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband Edward D. Mullin, Sr. in 2004; a daughter, Juliann Mullin in 2002 and 4 brothers: Stanley, Emil, Albert and Rudy Swist.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Committal Service on Monday, June 26, 2023 at 2pm at the Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main St., Agawam.
