SPRINGFIELD

Thomas A. Ryan, 80, passed away December 26, 2021 at home. Born in Springfield on March 5, 1941 to the late John and June (Stead) Ryan, he was a longtime Springfield resident and had also lived in East Longmeadow for 30 years. Tom retired as a Group Leader from American Saw in 2003 after 22 years of service where he enjoyed playing in their golf and bowling leagues. He was a member of East Longmeadow United Methodist Church. Tom liked watching sports on TV, reading, and listening to all genres of music.

He leaves his wife of 43 years, Patricia (Lesure) Ryan; his children: Nanci Williams of Springfield, Brian Ryan and his wife Jeannine of East Longmeadow, Kelly Ryan of South Hadley, Brenden Ryan of South Hadley, Jessica Ryan-Stone and her husband Mark Stone of Springfield, Megan Ryan and her husband John Surreira of Ludlow, and Sean Ryan and his partner Jenna Butler of Broad Brook, CT. He also leaves his brother Robert Ryan and wife Darlene of Springfield; his sister Judith Marcus of Franklin, MA; his grandchildren: Colleen, Erica, Olivia and Nolan; several great-grandchildren, along with other family members and friends.

Services will be privately held at East Longmeadow United Methodist Church.
