Tina Marie (Campiti) Casini

Tina Marie (Campiti) Casini, 92, passed away May 29, 2025 at Mercy Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Springfield on June 9, 1932 to the late Francesco and Maria (Parrotta) Campiti. Tina retired as a paraprofessional after 29 years at Brookings School in Springfield. In life, Tina was kind and humble – she lived for others and enjoyed spending her time with her children and grandchildren. Her greatest wish was for everyone to remain happy and together through good times and bad. To her, simple living was the best kind of living. In her final days, she would always say “I’ve been to hell and back”. We know she went straight to Heaven and now we have our angel!

She leaves her beloved children, Vincent Casini of Springfield, Maria Casini Matias and her husband John of Ludlow, and Lisa Casini Anselmo and her husband Andrew of Ludlow; her cherished grandchildren, Peter Anselmo and his fiancé Lyrik Fryer of Florida, Gina Anselmo Fowler and her husband Michael of Ludlow, Mika Matias of Florida, and Max Matias of Ludlow; her sisters-in-law, Virginia Campiti and Theresa Campiti; her very best friend of many years Joyce DiMaio, along with many nieces, nephews, other extended family members and friends. Tina was predeceased by her husband, Elio Casini and her siblings, Frank Campiti, Pasquale Campiti, Pierina D’Agostino, Sara Nardi, and Josephine Rondoletto.

The family would like to thank the doctors and staff at the Andy Yee Palliative Care Unit at Mercy Medical Center for the compassionate care given to Tina in her final days.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 5, 2025 with a Calling Hour from 8-9am at Nowak Funeral & Cremation Services, 15 Ludlow Ave., Springfield and proceeding to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 123 William St, Springfield for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am.
