Toni Lynn Golfieri, 50, passed away March 9, 2020 at home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Springfield on February 24, 1970, she was a lifelong West Springfield resident. Toni was a 1988 graduate of West Springfield High School. She went on to earn a business degree from Bay Path College in 1992, graduating Suma Cum Laude and as class Valedictorian. Toni was an active member of St. Mark Armenian Church in Springfield where she had served as a former parish council member. She started at G. Fox Department Store in 1990 and had a career for over 30 years in retail sales at Filene’s and most recently Macy’s. Her love of dogs and animals lead her to volunteer at the MSPCA.
Toni leaves her devoted mother, Aroxy Meregian of West Springfield; her loving sister Andrea Golfieri of West Springfield; her loving father Amedio Golfieri and his wife Donna of Springfield; her loving aunts and uncles: Hope and Ed Zitka, Josie and Jake McConkey, and Louise and Jean Rivard, many loving cousins including Mary Dirazonian along with many other family members and friends. The family would like to thank the nurses and techs on S3 Oncology Floor at Baystate Medical Center for the wonderful care given to Toni.
Calling hours for Toni will be held on Sunday, March 15, 2020 from 1:00-4:00 p.m. at Nowak Funeral & Cremation Services, 15 Ludlow Ave., Springfield. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 16th assembling at 9:00 a.m. at the funeral home and proceeding to of St. Mark Armenian Church for a funeral mass at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Springfield.
