Wilbert Jones Obituary

Wilbert D. Jones May 26, 1937 - February 29, 2020 born to Sydney Jones and Sarah Jones (Holland) in Statesville, North Carolina.

He moved to Queens, New York in 1956, where he worked at Gilbert Engineering for several years until he began his 40 year career as an auto mechanic. He owned and operated his own collision shop in Jamaica Queens, New York in 1979 until his retirement in 2000. There after he relocated to Springfield, Massachusetts in 2001, where he happily lived out the remainder of his years.

He is survived by his sons Tommy Jones and Wilbert Jones, Jr. (Marcia). His daughters Cathy Jones, Felicia Jones, Leane Prince (James) Shenel and Sherae (Jose). As well as his sisters Julia and Christine Jones, and his grandchildren Anthony, Erica and Laneisha (Carcelius) and a host of nieces and nephews.
