Zofia H. (Swiatlowska) Lupa, 87, passed away peacefully on May 7, 2024 at home in Wilbraham. Born in Podlipie, Poland on September 3, 1936 to the late Michal and Helena Swiatlowski, she immigrated to the United States in 1997 and was a Wilbraham resident for 27 years. In Poland, she worked alongside her beloved husband, Jan Lupa, as a farmer. She then worked for many years as an assembler for Dielectrics, Inc. in Chicopee and devoted much of her time to caring for her granddaughters, Michelle and Nichole Czuber. Zofia was a faithful parishioner of Immaculate Conception Church in Indian Orchard and a devoted woman of God, always praying for her family, loved ones, and those in need. She will always be remembered for her hard work, her faithfulness, her humor, and her devotion to her family.
She leaves her children: Vesha Czuber and her husband John of Wilbraham, Alfred Lupa of Wilbraham, and Alinka Borkowski and her husband Janusz of Poland; 7 grandchildren: Richard Lupa, Joanne Lupa, Michelle Czuber, Nichole Czuber, Patrysia Maruszczyk and her husband Pawel, Klaudzia Balcerzak and her husband Tomek, and Basia Borkowski and great-grandchildren: Karol Maruszczyk, Szymon Balcerzak, and Dawid Balcerzak. She was predeceased by her husband, Jan Lupa.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2024 with Calling Hours from 9-11am and proceeding to Immaculate Conception Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30am. Burial will follow at St. Aloysius Cemetery.
