Zofia Skrodzki, 75, of the Indian Orchard section of Springfield, died at home on May 6, 2022. Born in Dabrowa Tarnowska, Poland to the late Jozef and Julia (Skrzyniarz) Bania on Aug. 7, 1946, she came to the United States in the early 1980’s and had been a resident of Indian Orchard for the past 40 years.
She is survived by her husband, Antoni Skrodzki; her son, Joe Skrodzki and his fiancée Monika Guberow of Indian Orchard; her sisters, Stacia Swiecanski of Indian Orchard and Zuzanna Kopacz of Ludlow; her nieces: Marcia Wysk of Monson, Kasia Kopacz of Ludlow, Edyta Jackowski of Wilbraham and Magda Guberow of Ludlow and her nephews: Grzegorz Bania, Pawel Bania and his wife Dorota, Victor Bania and Bartosz Bania. She was the sister of the late Wtadyslaw Bania in 2014 and his wife Anna and Kazimierz Bania in 2011 and his wife Helena.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Thursday, May 12, from 9am-10:15am at Nowak Funeral & Cremation Services, 15 Ludlow Ave., Springfield followed by a Funeral Mass at 11am at Immaculate Conception Church, Indian Orchard and then burial in St. Aloysius Cemetery, Indian Orchard.
