AGAWAM – Marie “Gloria” (Turcotte) Morin, 92, passed away peacefully at Heritage Hall on May 22nd. She was born in Springfield, MA to Henry and Marie Rose (Lemieux) Turcotte. Gloria worked for many years at Steiger’s as a sales clerk, and at Palmer, Goodell and Keeney Insurance Agency. Gloria was also a faithful communicant of both St. Thomas Church in Palmer, where she was also a volunteer, and St John’s the Evangelist Church in Agawam. She was predeceased by: her husband William Morin; her sister Patricia Joseph; and two daughters-in-law, Anne Morin and Louise Morin. She leaves behind four children: Donald Morin of Feeding Hills, Elizabeth Stack and her husband James of Kansas, Joseph Morin of North Carolina, and Marie Meiers and her husband Richard of Feeding Hills; 9 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank Heritage Hall of Agawam and Beacon Hospice Services for the wonderful care they provided to Gloria. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 28th, assembling at 11 am at Nowak Funeral & Cremation Services, 15 Ludlow Ave, Springfield, and proceeding to St. John the Evangelist Church, 833 Main St., Agawam, for a 12 pm Liturgy of Christian Burial, then on to the MA Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery in Agawam for 1 pm Rites of Committal. Calling hours will be held prior to the services on Thursday from 9 – 11 am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Gloria’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association.
