Kenneth Francis Motyl, 44, passed away on August 5, 2015. Born in Springfield, Kenneth was the beloved son of Francis and Patricia (Workum) Motyl.  He grew up in Wilbraham and was a 1989 graduate of Minnechaug Regional High School. He had played baseball for Immaculate Conception Church and the Ludlow Elks as a pitcher.  Ken also played softball as a volunteer and partner for the Special Olympics.

After earning his degree in Architecture from Porter and Chester Institute, he had worked for Architects, Inc. in Northampton and Permasteelisa Group in Windsor. As an architectural designer he designed a vast range of structures, from unique residential dwellings to municipal and commercial buildings. Ken was a perfectionist which combined with his artistic ability served to make him a very accomplished architect.

He was an avid New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox fan, attending football as well as baseball games every year with his Dad. They would watch games together coaching the players from their easy chairs. Ken will be remembered as a loving and caring son, brother, and uncle.

He leaves his parents, Francis and Patricia Motyl of Wilbraham, his sisters, Linda Flynn and her husband Michael of East Longmeadow and Cheryl Roberts of Somers, CT; his nieces and nephews, Meghan and Nicholas Flynn and Zofia and Dimarco Roberts; his friend and cousin, Ted Stusick Jr. and many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends as well as his dog Sonny.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday August 15, 2015 with Calling Hours 9:00 AM-12:00 PM at Nowak Funeral & Cremation Services, 15 Ludlow Ave. Springfield. A liturgy of Christian Burial will follow at 12:30 PM at Immaculate Conception Church, 25 Parker St. Springfield. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
